We use lash extensions made from different types of silk to customize a natural or fuller look. More importantly, we only use cruelty free products.

+ HOW ARE LASH EXTENSIONS APPLIED?

Proper application of lash extensions are applied individually, one by one, onto your real eyelashes.

+ HOW LONG DO LASH EXTENSIONS LAST?

We have options for lash touchups from one to four weeks. But how frequently you would need to come in for the stylist application will depend on how well you take care of them and your skin type. At MESA we make sure to use the best techniques and products to ensure a prolonged extension wear, but after you leave the shop it all depends on you. Make sure that you aren’t touching or placing any oil based products on the lashes. In the mornings gently brush out the extensions with the brush provided to you by your stylist. You must always make sure you are gentle when handling them. Lastly, it is dependent on your skin. If you have naturally oily skin, the extensions will come off faster because the oil will slowly break down the adhesive holding the extension to your natural lash.

+ ARE LASH EXTENSIONS SAFE?

Yes. I only use adhesive specifically made for Eyelash Extensions, no exceptions. Eyelash extensions should never touch your skin. They should feel and sit like natural lashes. ​

+ HOW LONG DOES THE APPLICATION TAKE?

A new set of eyelashes can range from anywhere in between 1 to 2 hours. To properly apply eyelash extensions is a meticulous job and should not be rushed as it can lead to clumps and your natural eyelashes to fall out.

+ ARE LASH EXTENSIONS HEAVY LIKE STRIP LASHES?

Strip lashes feel heavy because they are applied directly to the skin. Eyelash extensions are applied to your natural lash, and are super light weight so the heavy feeling associated with a strip lash isn’t present.

+ CAN I STILL GET LASH EXTENSIONS IF MY NATURAL LASHES ARE REALLY SHORT?

You sure can! We do recommend you go with the volume lashes because they are a finer extension. By getting this set it allows us to create your preferred lash style without worrying about putting too much strain on your natural lash.

+ DO I EVER HAVE TO TAKE A BREAK FROM LASH EXTENSIONS?

No you can have eyelash extensions for as long as you would like. Lash extensions don’t damage the natural lash so you can have them for any amount of time without the worry of harming your natural lashes.

+ CAN I STILL WEAR MAKEUP?

Yes, but because of the effect eyelash extensions create, many clients find they no longer need eye makeup.

+ CAN I STILL WEAR MASCARA OR STRIP LASHES?

Adding mascara or strip lashes to the extensions is not recommended. Applying anything to the lashes inevitably results in having to rub or continuously touch the extensions, which can make them fall off quicker. Mascara also contains oil and when wearing extensions, you want to avoid putting on any products around the eyes that contain oil because it can cause the adhesive, holding the extension to the natural lash, to fall off.

+ CAN I PERM OR CURL MY LASH EXTENSIONS?

No, eyelash extensions are pre-curled and come in different curls for your liking.

+ WILL LASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?

No - your eyelashes have a growth cycle of their own. An eyelash has a life span of 60-90 days. The average person loses 1-3 lashes a day. It is an optical illusion when your eyelashes seem to be shorter and thinner after having eyelash extensions on for so long. If you did a measurement before and after, you would find no difference in length if the lashes were applied properly.

+ CAN I GET MY LASHES WET?

For the first 24 hours post application, avoid all moisture such as steam rooms, shower, sauna, sweating etc to allow lashes to fully cure. After intial 24 hours, you may shower and get them wet.

+ HOW DO YOU PERFORM A LASH LIFT?

The lashes are placed over a curved silicone pad and then two solutions are separately placed on them for 8 minutes each. The first solution opens up the follicles and the second closes them while they are curved over the silicon pad. This produces the lifted lash look.

+ HOW LONG DOES A LASH LIFT LAST?

Lash Lifts last 4-8 weeks, when there is new growth and majority of your lashes have fallen straight. It is recommended to get a lift every 4-6 weeks!
